I'm Loving...

Shirt Dresses!

I don't know about you but I am getting a bit bored of the skater dress, for the summer I really hope we see more shirt dresses! They are flattering on most body types and can be dressed up and down. They have a real 1950's feel to them and you can get them plain or with a summery print!

1) Debenhams £15 (reduced from £30!)
2) Ted Baker £80 (reduced from £119!)
3) Oasis £25 (reduced from £50!)
4) H&M £24.99

As you can see three of these dresses are on sale so if one has taken your fancy I would snap it up now! There is a variety of prices and labels here so you see you can get a shirtdress from just about anywhere.

Hair #2 Super Long

I haven't done a hair post since I started this blog so here you go!

Writing my last style crush post bought to my attention my love for desperately long hair! Most celebs favour extensions to give their hair a boost so I cannot guarantee all this hair is natural:

Amanda Seyfried, Holly Marie Combs, Karen Gillan, Kim Sears, Jennifer Morrison, Olivia Wilde, Jessica Michibata, Jennifer Aniston, Ayda Field, Nicole Kidman, Shakira, Nicole Scherzinger

I think pretty much every celeb dabbles in the long hair territory but my favourite ones are definitely the more natural looks e.g Amanda Seyfried, Holly Marie Combs, Kim Sears. I also much prefer the whole wavy look, poker straight can just look horrid but curls like Nicole Kidmans, Jennifer Aniston and Shakira show the range available to those with length!

There are many cons to having long hair, such as the time taken to care for it, split ends and shampoo cost but I think the main pro is totally worth it! With long hair you have so much versatility and can look different almost everyday, and when your fed up with you hair you can just throw it up into a cute ponytail!

Who's long hair do you like best?

Style Crush #4 Jessica Michibata

Jessica is a Japanese fashion model who is currently dating F1 driver Jenson Button, you can often spot her in the Mclaren pit during one of Jenson's races. F1 is one of those sports that follow the sun and as it seems spring is finally arriving here in Britain I thought I would chose some of her summery styles!

Jessica has a fantastic body and is the Queen of the short skirt! Here I love the whole look, the denim jacket on the flowery dress gives it a cool edge and the bag and shoes are just the perfect accessories!

As well as short hemlines Jessica's trademark is her hair, this dress is a gorgeous colour and she dresses it down with flats, her hair is left loose and looks really good against the colour of the dress!

Sometimes the rain just catches up with you but Jessica keeps it chic in a neutral top, black leggings, tan bag and wears the wellies as if they are a fashion statement!

Proving once again she isn't afraid of colour she stands out in red and boldly accessorises with tan and black! She totally rocks the sunglasses!

Finally, once again proving her versatility, we have an up do! simple and clean cut she looks so flawless here that it hurts!

So there we have it to get Jessica's look you'll need:

Super long hair
Short hemlines
Bright colours
Neutral accessories

Although even Jessica with her strict formula has her own variation when it comes to down time:

A totally effortless look, she still shows of her legs but shorts are her weapon of choice this time and I love the boots and hat!

I'm Loving...

Trench Coats! (And Macs!)

I have always adored trench coats and It seems they are one of the big things for Spring! It is always difficult finding the perfect light coat that will keep you quite warm and protect from showers, the trench is the perfect answer to this.

Neutrals:

1) Debenhams £60
2) Dorothy Perkins £35.00
3) Hobbs £189.00
4) Kookai £55.00 (reduced from £139.00!)

Colours and Patterns:

6) Zara £69.99
7) Joe Browns £39.95
8) Debenhams £40.00
9) John Lewis £99.00
10) H&M £29.99

The more neutral tones are sophisticated and chic, the colours are flattering on most and if you want to look stylish but not stand out too much they are perfect!

On the other hand if you want to stand out then the colourful and patterned trenches are just perfect. The pastel coloured pink trench and the white polka dots on black trench are both good middle piece but too really make an entrance the blue and red ones are great.

But for my favourite of the lot is has to be the 7th, it's really colourful and beautiful, its reasonably priced and with all those colours it will surely go with anything!

What's your opinions on trenches and macs?

London Fashion Week

Burberry Prorsum

The best 5 looks in my opionion. It was all about the outerwear at the Burberry show, that and belts with bows! Mixing and matching was used throughout, and you could see how one piece was very versatile and could be teamed with pretty much everything else in the collection.

Well thats the end of my week reviewing my favourite looks from the recent London Fashion Week, from now on it will be back to normal posts, I hope you have enjoyed!

Vivienne Westwood Red Label

My favourites! This collection is typical Vivienne Westwood, the cuts are beautiful and more toned down than you would expect. I would say this collection is very wearable for everyone.

Stella McCartney Special Presentation

Stella McCartney's collection is very simple, very clean-cut and pretty. There is a lot of black and the occassional pop of colour like the blue outfit on the right. I just wish Stella would have bought her main collection to London!
